The Inspiration

I'd like to officially welcome you to the launch of my virtual online fashion consulting services—JessicaManey.com. My family recently relocated to Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, from the bustling city of Philadelphia. My husband was born and raised in Georgia, and after we had our first and only child, we knew we needed more space for him to thrive in an environment with access to nature and serenity.

Many folks who know me associate my passion with wildlife—which is accurate. I have a background in fundraising and marketing for wildlife nonprofits, and it sits close to my heart. Suppose we meet or have known each other for years. In that case, chances are I'll end up sharing my personal experiences of helping to rescue wolves, raising funds for coexistence tools, and my experiences in Yellowstone watching wildlife with compassionate guides or my trip to Africa to experience nature like I've never before.

However, there is another side of me where I find inspiration. It's waking up in the morning and using cruelty-free, organic, and science-based products to enhance my skin. It's putting on a pair of slingback heels with wide-leg jeans and the excitement of adding final touches, such as a chic statement belt or oversized gold earrings, to bring my outfit together, allowing me to feel an essence of chic in my world that is usually filled with chaos. It's the moment when someone compliments my nail color or asks where I purchased my blazer. Over the past eight years, having a younger sister near Tribeca, New York City, has led me to venture into luxury designer stores and consignment shops and research upcoming brands, where I found a new sense of excitement. Her knowledge and effortlessness while mixing chic pieces made me reassess what was and wasn't working for my body type. I stopped buying fast trends. I stopped buying items just because they were on sale. And, even if something were from a luxury designer, if I didn't see myself wearing it over the next five years, I'd skip the investment and focus on what I felt needed to be added to my closet, starting with the staple items. That has led me to where I am today, and I desire to take what I've learned and help others feel great about themselves without wasting their hard-earned money on pieces that aren’t worth it.

I've always believed that fashion and style can sometimes feel pretentious, with the misconception that high prices or logos equate to quality and desirability. But that's only sometimes the case. Many luxury designer products are overpriced, and many fast fashion companies compromise on quality. This is why I started my virtual fashion consulting services. I only recommend brands and products with which I've had direct experience or with others close to me who have had direct experience. Some are expensive, some are mid-range, and some are incredibly affordable. I aim to ensure that the products I recommend for your wardrobe are timeless, within your budget, and make you feel like your best self.

Once my clients determine if they want a style refresh, I work closely to identify the best colors, sizes, and shape preferences. I provide numerous options in an easy-to-navigate shopping page where each product is listed, my recommendation as to why I feel it would be a good fit and a link to where my clients can purchase that item directly through the retailer—ONLY if they want to. There is never pressure to buy a recommendation. The experience is meant to be stress-free, fun, and productive! My goal is to take a gentle approach to fashion styling and to help you hone your style.

I look forward to writing upcoming blog articles featuring snippets from my personal style, new life on the farm, smart investments, trends worth splurging on, and so much more.
