Farm Life

July 2024

Living in a small farm community has been an incredible experience for my family thus far. Since recently arriving, we have spent more time together than our three years living in Philadelphia. Our days include trips to the local farmer’s market, leading into our son joining a live band on stage as he enthusiastically plays the tambourine. Or, an evening golf cart ride to visit the horse pastures and watch a flock of geese slowly waddle towards the pond as the sun begins to set. And we look forward to visiting the community bookshop, followed by a romp on the trampoline, never complete without a stop at the local ice cream shop for peach sorbet.

As the heat continues to scorch the south, I’ve had to rearrange my wardrobe to adjust to the harsh weather. I find myself living in sandals and dresses to keep cool. Check out my latest investments below to feel stylish and yet comfortable.

For less than $60.00, these are the perfect Khaite dupe for the summer. They run extra large, so best to purchase an entire size smaller. If I lose a gem or get them dirty, fear not—as another pair are just a click away.

Saint Laurent clutch

My Saint Laurent clutch is one of my favorite investment pieces of the year. The nude color matches all things beige, white and tan. It’s simple, easy to carry my phone and favorite lip gloss.

I love multiple things about this dress. First, it’s easy to dress up or down. The cotton material is sturdy and feels quality. The neckline is modernized to give that “cool girl” tank exposed shoulder vibe. And the length is perfect to wear without dragging on the ground. Easy to wash, this is one of my favorite dresses for the summer.

If I told you this skirt was on sale for under $40, would you believe me? The length is wonderful and looks chic with a pair of Mary Janes or minimalist sandals. It’s fitted with a slight flare so it’s easy to move in, and did I mention it comes with a matching black top?

Black Sweater Top

And, here is the matching top. On sale for $26.99. Yes, you heard me correctly. The entire look purchased together is under $70.00. A fashion steal! Pro tip: The armholes are a bit oversized, so best to put on a black camisole or bralette underneath to class it up.

When I want to throw on a pair of sunnies and not worry if they will get scratched or lost, these are my go to pair. Giving major Saint Laurent vibes for $14, you can’t beat the price.

The beige color is a nice change from my favorite black baseball cap. It’s preppy, chic, and can be worn with a t-shirt and jeans to a summer maxi dress. The options are endless, and it will help protect your skin from over exposure.
